The word of a Man depict the integrity of the Man and The level of your success in life is determined by the level of success you attain in your daily routine, these words of wisdom are my favorite which I have live to understand over the years and I can conclusively say that if every man understand and apply them daily, our world will be a better place to live in today because Trust, Confidence, Cooperation and Mutual understanding will be much more easier to build among Men and infrastructural development in our society will be very rapid.
The Kabiyesi through the help of God has moved from the cradle to the peak, from story to glory and from grass to grace, which only came to manifestation as a result of his self less service to humanity, courage, determination and the self motivation to attain his aim in life against all odds in life. After reading through these short citation of the Kabiyesi, I came to a conclusion that it is possible to get to the peak in life only if you as a human being do not under estimate your God giving potentials and also effectively and efficiently apply them. With respect to this, I can say that the Kabiyesi over the years have practiced this principles and he is a worthy role model to our youths.
PERSONAL DATA
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) D. O Makanjuola Ajaja, was born on the 11th day of April, 1952 into the royal family of Ajaja of the Oladimeji Ruling House, He is happily married to Olori Esther Makanjuola Ajaja and the union is blessed with wonderful children.
He can simply be described as a Hardworking, creative, articulate leader who is always very confident about his ability to get result as a result of his self motivation abilities, more also, He maintain a very good interpersonal relationship with his people as a result of his enviable and outstanding organizational and managerial abilities.
It has always been noticed among some scholars that the level of one’s academic and professional qualification does not defined the level of such persons mind and intellectual development, but for our Kabiyesi, he has worked and invested so much on himself to make him the right person he has wanted to be.
EDUCATIONAL AND ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
He started his secondary school education at Egbeoba High School, Ikole Ekiti in the year 1972, he then proceeded to Ise / Emure Grammer School where he obtained his WASC in 1975, and he subsequently proceeded to Federal School of Art and Science, Ondo where he wrote the GCE Advanced Level in 1979, from there he proceeded to University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife) where he bagged a Bachelor of Art (B.A Hons.) in History and graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in the year 1984, this encouraged him to proceed for his Masters degree in International Relations in 1987 from the same institution, his love for studying, reading book and tutoring made him proceed to obtain his Doctorate degree in International Relations from the prestigious University of Abuja in the year 2009. He has also obtain several certificate for the professional training courses he has attend over the years from various countries of the world such as Ethiopia, Germany etc.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL AWARDS

* Nigerian National Merit Award (Fed. Govt. Scholarship Programme) 1983
* Best Student in History Prize, Fed. Sch. Of Art and Science, Ondo 1979
* Commendation Letter for promoting Nigeria Tourism and Creating Tourism Awareness among Nigerians.
* Recipient of the Prestigious Tourism title of Badagry Pilgrim (B. P) by His Royal Majesty, De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi 1, Akran of Badagry.
WORK HISTORY
Experience they say is the best teacher, He has worked in various sector of this nation ranging from the education sector as a class room teacher to the culture and tourism sector as the Acting Director at the National Tourism Development Corporation.
PUBLICATIONS AND ARTICLES
The Kabiyesi over the years has carried out several researches which has been published and some are however yet to be published, but the bottom line is that these researches have contributed directly or indirectly to the development and growth of this great nation especially in the Culture and Tourism sector.

These publications and many others have been carefully carried out by him as part of his contributions to the development of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
VISION STATEMENT
The Kabiyesi is posed at achieving a maximum point on the economic, socio-cultural and political development and advancement of this great town, which he understood and believed can only be achieved through unity in an atmosphere of peace.
More so, another aspect in which the Kabiyesi is working consistently on is the educational and economical empowerment of Youths and Women.
Finally Brothers and Sisters, the development of this great town cannot materialize without our collective effort as it has always been ‘ A tree cannot make a forest’ let us as individuals and groups contribute our quarter to these developmental agenda and ITAPA EKITI in the nearest future shall be second to none in terms of infrastructural and intellectual development.
